ENERGY SAVINGS
Street, road and tunnel lighting offers incredible energy reduction benefits when retrofit with LED light sources. Just as the light lumen output and energy usage is large, so are the are savings. The ability to easily tune the beam angle into many different asymmetrical patterns provides for additional energy savings by producing a more evenly distributed light and reducing hot spots and wasted or “spilled” light. THE LIGHT BUBBLE
During late night hours and in more remote or rural locations where traffic is intermittent the ability to keep lights dimmed to 30% when no vehicles or foot traffic is present offers tremendous energy savings. When a vehicle or pedestrian approaches the lighted area the lights automatically ramp up to 100% in front of the on coming vehicle. Lights then dim down after the vehicle passes, in effect the vehicle is surrounded in a “light bubble” during passage through the area.
